Clue Guide & Strategy

How to read every comparison and make each guess count.

The basic loop

Each day begins without an opening Clue. Choose any character, and the game compares that guess with the hidden answer in five columns. The strongest next guess is usually someone who tests a specific possibility: a different Testament, an adjacent Era, a Book in the indicated direction, or a person with a promising Role or Circle.

Clue

Testament

The broadest division in the game.

Green means the guessed character and hidden character are both in the Old Testament or both in the New Testament. Black means they are in different Testaments. This is often the fastest way to remove a large part of the roster from consideration.

Clue

Era

The primary period of the character’s biblical story.

Green means the characters share a primary or reviewed secondary Era. Yellow means their closest Eras are adjacent in the game’s chronological sequence. Black means they are farther apart. The sequence runs from Primeval History through the Patriarchs, Exodus, Israel’s kingdoms and exile, then the Gospels and Early Church.

Clue

Book

Where each character’s central story appears.

Green means the characters share at least one story Book. If they do not, an up arrow means the hidden character’s closest Book is later in the Bible’s canonical order; a down arrow means it is earlier. Characters can belong to more than one Book, so the game compares the closest reviewed locations before choosing a direction.

Clue

Role

What kind of person each character is in the narrative.

Green marks a strong shared or equivalent Role, such as prophet, priest, judge, monarch, apostle, or teacher. Yellow marks a related softer Role when it is meaningful but not exact. Black means the reviewed Roles do not provide a useful connection. Broad labels are intentionally prevented from creating easy matches by themselves.

Clue

Circle

The people and story groups surrounding a character.

Fire means the guessed person and hidden person are directly connected in the reviewed relationship data. Green means they share a close story Circle, while yellow means they belong to a broader related Circle. Black means the game has not recorded a qualifying connection between them.

Hints, guesses, and scoring

You have eight accepted guesses. The Verse Hint becomes available after four incorrect guesses and adds one point only if you open it. The Story Hint unlocks independently after five incorrect guesses and adds two points if opened. Every accepted guess adds one point, so a lower score represents a more direct solve.

Your eighth guess can still solve the puzzle. If it is incorrect, the run ends as a DNF and the answer is revealed with no score. Unknown, ambiguous, and duplicate entries are not accepted as guesses and do not consume an attempt.

A practical solving approach

  1. Use your first guess to establish a Testament and Era.
  2. Follow the Book arrow with a character from a useful new Book.
  3. Prioritize green Role or Circle information over vague similarity.
  4. Use a directly connected person to test the fire Clue deliberately.
  5. Open an optional Hint when its information is worth the added score.

The comparisons describe Bibble Daily's reviewed gameplay taxonomy. They are clues for deduction, not claims that a person's story belongs to only one period, Book, office, or community.
